Originally an accredited university class, this is a survey course of Goddess traditions of the Mediterranean.

It is an introduction and a remembering of a continual path that has been in many cases minimalized, forgotten, and erased. We will begin by meeting primordial women and travel into the Fertile Crescent, Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom. We will interact with the stories of Inanna, Ishtar, Asharah, Astarte, Cybele, the Goddesses of the Greek, Roman and Celtic Pantheons, as well as, understand more deeply the Sybils, Mary Magdalene, and the miracles of the Black Madonnas.

Through lectures, readings, meditation, discussions, self-care practices, creative expression, and intuitive skills building we will create a learning and expansion community based in acceptance and support. The class will offer opportunities to discover the relatable similarities between cultures that revered the Goddess, the essentiality of nature connection, and the potentiality in humans actualizing their divine connection. This course is meant to help women with European ancestry connect more deeply with the indigenous spiritual practices of their lineages, build confidence in their fullness of being, and trust the possibilities of life.
