Imagine
tracing ancient footpaths in Southern France, breathing in the scent of lavender and stone as the Provençal wind blows across a quiet valley.
Envision entering a cave shrine where Mary Magdalene once sought refuge or standing before a Black Madonna altar that has witnessed centuries of prayer and miracles.
THIS IS MORE THAN A BEAUTIFUL TRIP;
it’s an invitation to step out of the ordinary and open yourself to a powerful transmission of life force energy, connecting you with a sacred way of experiencing the world that you will continue to walk in long after you leave France.

Remembrance Pilgrimage was born from a longing shared by many seasoned spiritual women: the longing for depth over distraction, integration over escape.
This is a calling to delve into the power of European spiritual traditions that were present pre and post Christ's life, especially in Southern France.

If you are feeling a tug in your soul
for a more meaningful, enlivened honoring of the sacred, and trusting the divine rhythm in daily life, this journey is for you. Over 11 days in Southern France, we will follow in the footsteps of the sacred feminine in the representations of – Mary Magdalene and the Black Madonna – not as a history tour, but as a living experience of devotion, sisterhood, healing, and personal transformation.
This is an invitation to walk a more fully devotional path of the sacred feminine.
Rather than “one more retreat” that feels amazing but fades when you get home, this is not a high-adrenaline tour, a big crowd, or a flashy, performative spiritual “high,”. This journey is not for those looking for hype, party atmosphere, or luxury for its own sake.
RemembrancE is designed as a pilgrimage
that becomes a way of life.
The ceremonial space you will enter in this experience clears the path
for you to live a more vibrant
and spiritually connected life.
The beautifully simple rituals that you will practice each day
can be carried into your routines at home.
You’ll be held in a small circle of like-hearted women, where each experience is an invitation and your sovereignty is respected at every step. We invite you to join us if you feel called with a heartfelt welcome to come as you are and step into the sacred rhythm that is already calling you.
This is not something new, but instead something you are remembering
that is already within you.
It is an awakening of your soul memory to the connection that is infinite and timeless. It is an opening to the energy of creation that powers the manifestation of your visions. A way of life in devotion and care for yourself and all life.

More truths of the sacred feminine are continually unfolding
and being uncovered at this time, giving permission and
encouraging your truth to unfold and come to light.
Having a greater understanding of who Mary Magdalene was and her relevance and importance now for women to feel seen, heard, expressed, valued, and powerful. Remembering her true story helps you to remember your true self and the gifts you have to share. Â

WHY REMEMBRANCE?
In a world full of retreats and pilgrimages, Remembrance stands apart. We have lovingly crafted and curated this experience to ensure that what you receive is what is needed at this moment and will continue to support you in your life in ways that truly lasts.
HERE'S HOW REMEMBRANCE IS UNIQUE:
The Remembrance Way™: A simple daily practice framework you’ll learn during the pilgrimage, so clear and gentle that you can keep it up when you return home. This isn’t just a trip; it’s training in a regenerative rhythm of prayer, presence, and integration that fits into real life. This includes movement, food, meditation, ritual, rest, and other supports for an enlivened life.
The Vow of Remembrance™: At the heart of our journey lies a signature consecration ritual. In a magical power spot near the end of the retreat, you will be guided to articulate a personal Vow of Remembrance; a sacred commitment to how you will live what you’ve experienced. This isn’t a theoretical promise; it’s a witnessed, felt moment of clarity that seals your “yes” in your bones, so you leave inspired, reclaimed and committed to your path. This is a Vow to yourself, all life, and the life-force energy of Source itself.
A Sacred Feminine Arc: Rather than focusing on a single icon or doctrine, we honor a unified sacred feminine lineage. Over these 11 days, you’ll encounter Mary Magdalene, the Black Madonna, Mother Mary, and other Sacred Feminine Deities weaving one respectful, coherent story of love and devotion.

From the caves and basilicas of Magdalene’s local lore
to the mysteries of France’s Black Madonnas,
experience the breadth of the divine feminine with integrity;
weaving history and myth, heart and mind.
This breadth comes with depth: cultured insight meets mystical practice,
all framed in a way that’s relevant to your modern life (not just an empty tour of legends or sites).
These stories are meant to bring illumination to your own journey and spiritual practice.
This heart centered wisdom transverses across time, across lands, across religious belief systems
and infuses a diverse collection of hearts and souls to live an uplifted life of love.
Integration that lasts
Remembrance is designed so the transformation lands while you are here and continues when you return home.
Throughout the pilgrimage, integration is woven into the rhythm of each day through intention, movement, rest, and reflection, giving your experiences space to land fully as they happen instead of becoming work to unpack later. You will receive a Journal-Guide and the Remembrance Way daily rhythm that make devotion practical through prayer, breath, movement, food, ritual, and true rest that fits ordinary life.
We also support you before we travel through monthly circles and after you return through a live integration call and gentle follow-ups. Mornings will feel different, calmer, clearer, and genuinely aligned not only in the week after France but for the long arc of your life.
What we uniquely bring
We bring a combined experience that marries living ritual with practical integration. Together we hold a trauma-aware, consent-led circle where the sacred is not an idea. It is felt in your breath, your steps, your voice.
Expect candlelit ceremony and salt-of-the-earth simplicity. Expect creative embodiment that wakes the body and clear guidance that turns insight into one kind action you will actually take.
We listen for what wants to emerge, we keep the pace steady, and we translate the holy into a rhythm you can carry home. Our shared gift is making devotion both beautiful and doable, so you leave inspired, aligned, and committed to your path.
All of this unfolds in a warm, inclusive container of safety, consent, and care. The group is purposely kept small where connection and compassion are pillars of our space together. The pace is gentle and mindful; we build in plenty of breathing room.Â
we prioritiZe your experience and sovereignty. Our goal is for you to feel safe, seen, and respected at every moment of the journey.

Experience Overview
Our 11-day pilgrimage unfolds across the enchanting landscapes of Southern France, in regions rich with legend and sacred feminine history. We begin by gathering in Marseille, on the Mediterranean coast, and then trace a path through ancient Provence into the mystical Occitanie region.
Along the way, we immerse ourselves in story-rich holy places that carry a piece of the Remembrance journey.  These places are where Mary Magdalene’s memory lives on and where Black Madonna shrines have endured, healed, and inspired for centuries.
We move between sea-swept chapels, quiet cave sanctuaries, and hilltop villages where the sacred feminine has been honored for centuries. Along the way, we weave ritual and story, embodiment and stillness while opening you to the invitation of bringing in what new vibrancy is being called in for yourself and the world.
To protect site privacy and keep our pace responsive to the land, weather, and local festivals, we share the detailed day-by-day itinerary with confirmed guests in your Welcome Packet after you reserve your place. Questions may be asked about this in your call. Expect depth without rush, beauty without crowds, and a rhythm that allows your entire being to integrate as we go.
Importantly, this itinerary is rich with intention and meaning. We believe pilgrimage is a posture, not a checklist. You will notice a gentle rhythm to our days (detailed below), ensuring that you have time to truly receive the energy of each place and moment. Yes, you will see awe-inspiring sites and touch relics of deep heritage but equally, you will have quiet afternoons to journal in a wildflower meadow, or sip tea at a café and integrate in solitude, or take a nap and simply be. The journey is carefully balanced between outward excursions and inward absorption so that your own experience can unfold organically without feeling like a tourist on a timetable.
Throughout the pilgrimage, your guides will share stories and teachings that bring each location to life: the legends of Mary Magdalene in France, the hidden meanings of the Black Madonnas, the intertwined tales of the sacred feminine across time. But more than talk, we emphasize practice. You’ll partake in daily rituals, from simple morning meditations to creative evening ceremonies, that help you embody what you’re learning. By walking these lands and engaging with them through ceremony, you become part of the continuing story. Our hope is that Southern France herself becomes a teacher and muse for you, and that you forge a deeply personal connection to the sacred feminine lineage that has been present on these lands for centuries and that we honor greatly today.

Daily Flow
A Day in Remembrance has a gentle, nourishing rhythm. Here’s an example of what a day might feel like:
MORNING
Begin with quiet personal practice. At sunrise, you might join a guided meditation, simple stretching/yoga or a prayer in the garden of our Chateau. These morning stillness and movement sessions set the tone, helping you ground into your body and the land before the day’s adventures. Afterward, enjoy a French breakfast as we gather our intentions for the day.
LATE MORNING
Depart for our sacred site of the day. Each field trip day features an unhurried visit to a holy place. For example, we might drive through sunflower fields to a countryside chapel housing a Black Madonna, or hike a short, wooded trail to a hidden sanctuary. On-site, we move slowly and reverently: perhaps one of your guides offers a storytelling session, brief teaching, or a meditation about the site’s significance. There may be a ritual on location: imagine lighting candles in a crypt, or singing softly in an acoustically marvelous basilica. You’ll have personal time here as well, to pray, explore quietly, or simply soak in the atmosphere and energies.
AFTERNOON
Open. We return to our accommodations after a delicious regional picnic or a leisurely long lunch prepared by our private chef, and pause.Â
Most afternoons are unscheduled by design for you to decide if you would like to journal in the bamboo garden, take a dip in the pool, walk the grounds or adjacent nature preserve, or even receive an optional one-on-one session (for example, a healing ritual bath or mentoring conversation) with one of the guides. This spacious time is all about integration and rest; letting the morning’s insights settle into your bones.
If you thrive on a bit of exploration, optional outings are offered, such as a visit to a nearby market, ancient site, or medieval village, but there’s no pressure to do anything but relax and follow your soul’s needs.
EVENING
We reconvene in the early evening for a circle gathering. This begins with a simple, hearty dinner together; local specialties and Provence-style dishes, with dietary-friendly options for everyone.
As twilight falls, we’ll move into the cozy salon or under the stars. Evenings are a time for sharing and ritual. These circles are intimate and profound; a chance to be witnessed, to laugh or cry, to voice realizations, and to seal the day’s experiences in your heart.
We conclude with gratitude and prayer before a restful night’s sleep.
(Please note: This flow may vary on certain days – for instance, one day we may rise extra early for a special sunrise water ceremony in a mountain stream, and another day we might be out later enjoying an evening in a vibrant town square. But even on fuller days, we maintain a mindful pace, ensuring you have support and balance.)
Presence is the priority.
We intentionally practice more being than doing. You won’t be inundated with lectures or busy-work. Instead, you’ll find yourself breathing deeply, listening to your own inner voice, and engaging all your senses; whether it’s the taste of fresh bread, the sight of a rose-strewn altar, or the feeling of cool stone beneath your palm in a sacred cave.
This daily rhythm and continuance of sacred feminine lineage is something you can take home, adapting morning prayers or evening reflections into your regular life. It’s a template for living in Remembrance.

What’s Included
We want you to feel completely cared for during this pilgrimage. All core retreat expenses on the ground are included, so you can relax and immerse fully. Your Remembrance Pilgrimage package includes:
10 NIGHTS OF BOUTIQUE ACCOMODATIONS
Beautiful, serene lodging hand-selected for ambiance and comfort. We’ll stay part of the time in a lovingly restored French château amid the lesser known Camargue countryside and the other part in a charming Villa near the sacred sites of Occitanie.
Whether you choose a private room or a shared room, you’ll have a comfortable bed, quality linens, and an inspiring environment (think gardens, terraces, cozy nooks) that supports your rest and reflection.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION IN FRANCE
All your transportation during the retreat is covered. We provide airport pickup and drop-off (meeting at Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) on June 1, and returning you there June 11), as well as private van transportation to every site and excursions in our itinerary.
No worrying about logistics, just sit back and enjoy the journey as we drive through seascapes, villages, and hillsides.
MOST MEALS
We’ve got you covered for the vast majority of meals so you can savor the culinary delight of this region without stress.
This includes daily breakfasts, many lunches (some will be gourmet picnics in scenic spots, others prepared by local chefs with fresh regional ingredients), and dinners shared together.
Expect a mix of farm-to-table feasts prepared by our on-site professional chef, simple meals lovingly prepared by our retreat team, and select customized meals at our favorite local restaurants. We gladly accommodate dietary needs – vegan, gluten-free, etc. – see FAQs.
ALL SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES AND ENTRANCE FEES
All group activities, ceremonies, and site visits are included. This means your entry fees to sacred sites, churches, and monuments, private guides or guardians at certain locations, and all materials for rituals and workshops (candles, oils, journal, art supplies, etc.) are provided. You won’t need to pull out your wallet for any group experience.
FACILITATION AND SUPPORT
You’ll be guided by two dedicated facilitators (see Meet Your Guides below) throughout the journey. We keep our facilitator-to-participant ratio low to ensure everyone gets personal attention.
You’ll also have a retreat coordinator/assistant handling on-the-ground details. Trauma-aware support is available if strong emotions come up; you will be listened to and cared for with compassion and excellence of care.
Each participant receives the option of one choice of 1:1 session during retreat (Ritual Bath Guidance Session with Vanessa, Feminine Alignment Coaching with Karen, H.E.A.T. (energetic healing) with Rhett).
PRE-RETREAT PREPARATION
From the moment you say “yes,” we begin supporting you. You’ll be invited to a monthly pre-retreat circle (virtual) to meet your sister pilgrims and prepare your heart and mind (more details in Bonuses). Beginning January 2026.
Plus, we’ll provide a detailed Travel Guide PDF with packing lists, cultural tips, reading recommendations, and everything you need to know before departure. We’re here to assist with any travel questions as you book your flights.
POST-RETREAT INTEGRATION
Our care continues after the pilgrimage. We host a post-trip integration call (approximately 2 weeks after you return home) to help you process and weave your experiences into daily life.
You’ll reconnect with your sisters, share how it’s unfolding back home, and get guidance for staying in your Remembrance Way. You will also receive any group photos and recordings of chants/meditations we do, as keepsakes.
What’s Not Included
We ask that you arrange a few things on your own, so you can customize to your needs:
AIRFARE & TRAVEL TO FRANCE
Your flight (or travel) to our meeting point in Marseille, France is not included. You’ll need to book your own air/train fare or travel arrangements to get to Marseille by the retreat start time.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
We require trip insurance for all participants (for your own protection and peace of mind). You’ll need to purchase a travel insurance policy that covers your trip investment and any medical coverage you might need abroad. We’ll recommend companies and what to look for, in the Welcome Packet.
A FEW MEALS
We intentionally leave a couple of lunches/dinners open for you to explore or enjoy on your own (for example, one free afternoon in a quaint town where you might choose a restaurant that suits your fancy). These few meals are not covered by the retreat fee. (Budget around 2-3 meals on your own over 11 days; everything else we provide.)
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
We are cultivating an alcohol-free container to protect depth, safety, and nervous-system ease. (See Alcohol & Sacred Space below.)
PERSONAL EXPENSES
Souvenirs, additional snacks or alcohol beyond provided meals, personal calls, or any optional activities on free time (for instance, if on a free afternoon you decide to get a spa treatment or do extra shopping) are up to you.
Basically, anything not explicitly listed in “Included” will be your responsibility – but honestly, you won’t need much extra spending unless you want to!
No hidden costs, we believe in ease.
We want you to arrive feeling secure that it’s all handled,
and depart feeling it was worth every penny.
If you have any questions about what is or isn’t included,
we’re happy to clarify (see FAQs or contact us).

Alcohol and Sacred Space
We are building a clear, devotional container, sans alcohol, so your body can soften, your heart can open, and the work can go deep without cross-currents. Many women are tending seasons, nervous systems, or healing journeys with alcohol; honoring that, our group spaces, meals, site visits, circles, ceremonies, and shared transport are alcohol-free. You will be beautifully supported with herbal infusions, sparkling waters, seasonal mocktails, and non-alcoholic aperitifs so the ritual of sharing a drink is still present, simply reimagined.
Sovereignty matters. If you choose to have alcohol during your personal free time, we ask that you sit out the next group activity or ceremony and rejoin when you’re fully clear. There is no shame here; just care for safety, consent, and the integrity of the work. Thank you for helping us keep this field steady for every woman and for the sacred places that host us.

Accommodations –
Your Home Away from Home
We’ve chosen exquisite accommodations that are themselves a part of the pilgrimage experience: peaceful, soulful, and comfortable.
The flow from one site to the other is intentional and meant to be a part of the pilgrimage experience. For the first portion of our retreat, we’ll be staying at a historic Château estate in Camargue, surrounded by nature and old-world charm.
Envision spacious rooms with antique touches and modern artistic amenities, gardens with roses and wisteria, a swimming pool overlooking the bamboo garden. This private sanctuary allows us to drop into retreat mode deeply; it’s quiet and secluded, perfect for morning walks or quiet time in the gardens.
The second half of the journey, we move toward the sacred sites in the Occitanie, we’ll stay in a boutique Villa. This homey villa offers cozy rooms with en-suite bathrooms, comfortable common areas, a pool and sauna, and immediate access to the wild beauty of the surrounding hills with extraordinary views of the countryside and starlit skies. Whether you opt for a Shared Room (twin beds with a roommate, carefully matched) or a Private Room, know that we have prioritized comfort, cleanliness, and character. We want you to feel at home well-rested, and elegantly cared for.
(Note: Private rooms for the entire trip are limited (only 2 available). Having a private room for 1/2 of the pilgrimage is also possible (also 2 available). If having your own space is important to you, please reserve that option early. Shared rooms are paired with another participant; many women make wonderful relationships this way!)
MealsÂ
Food is love in France, and we’ve ensured you’ll experience the nourishment of lovingly prepared meals throughout our pilgrimage.
Each day will include fresh, abundant breakfasts (from flaky croissants and farm-fresh eggs to yogurt, fruit, and gluten-free muesli – we cater to all diets). Lunches will vary: on excursion days, expect delightful gourmet picnic lunches in scenic spots; imagine a spread of local cheeses, olives, crusty breads, salads and perhaps a sweet treat, enjoyed in a wild lavender meadow or by a sparkling stream.
On days when we’re at the Château, our private chef will craft delicious gastronomique farm-to-table lunches highlighting seasonal Provençal flavors. Dinners are times of community: some evenings, our in-house chef will prepare a family-style dinner (rustic tarts, nourishing soups, seasonal vegetables, and maybe a decadent dessert), and other nights we’ll dine out at handpicked local restaurants to taste the region’s specialties (like a seafood feast in a harbor village or traditional cassoulet near the mountains).
We celebrate Southern France through its table—cheeses from local dairies, herbs of Provence, Camargue-salted fare—served with elegant non-alcoholic pairings.
DIETARY NEEDS
We will do our best to accommodate your preferences and sensitivities. While rural Southern France doesn’t offer the same breadth of specialty products you may find in the U.S., we plan menus with care and communicate your needs to our chefs well in advance. As a rule, our meals lean toward delicious, seasonal, minimally processed dishes that steer away from common aggravators; heavy sauces, excess sugar, and ultra-processed ingredients. Expect abundant fresh vegetables and herbs, legumes and grains, broths and salads, with optional regional cheeses, meats, and eggs.
If you live with a medical diet or severe allergy, please tell us early. We’ll coordinate thoughtfully and may suggest bringing a few shelf-stable favorites for ease and comfort. While we cannot guarantee certified allergen-free kitchens in every venue, we will label thoughtfully and care well for you. Nourishing the body is part of the sacred journey.

Getting There & Getting Around
We aim to make your travel as smooth as possible.
Your journey begins in Marseille, France. We ask that you arrive at Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) by noon on June 1, 2026 where you will be greeted by the Remembrance team. The retreat has been purposefully designed that you can come in the weekend before (and stay the weekend after) to enjoy other parts of France such as the Riviera, Paris, or other spots that call you and peek your fancy. We will provide some suggested hotels and connections we have made in your Welcome Package.
From the airport, we will all travel together in our comfortable private vans to our first retreat site before heading to our accommodations. If you’ve had a long flight, don’t worry, we will welcome you with a picnic and a gentle pace.
Throughout the pilgrimage, we have private transportation for our group. The vans are air-conditioned and spacious enough for everyone and luggage. Drives between sites range from 30 minutes to 2 hours (at the most) on a given day, and we’ll break up longer drives with stops (like a cafe pause, picnic, or scenic viewpoint).
We intentionally keep travel days unhurried; this is not a bus tour with endless hours on the road. It’s a meandering pilgrimage where the journey is as enjoyable as the destination. You’ll get to soak in the landscape, from the rolling vineyards to the rugged foothills, without the stress of navigation. We try our best to stagger travel days with non-travel days so there isn't too much go-go-go.
On June 11, the last day, we will return you to Marseille by midday. We’ll coordinate with everyone’s onward travel plans to ensure you catch flights or trains comfortably. If you wish to extend your stay in France, we’re happy to provide guidance for that as well.
Pace, Physicality & Accessibility
While we do visit multiple sites, we have designed the schedule to avoid exhaustion. We typically have one outing per day and ample downtime. Of course, pilgrimage by nature involves some walking and time on your feet: you might be strolling cobblestone streets, climbing a small hill to a chapel, or walking in a forest path.

Of course, pilgrimage by nature involves some walking and time on your feet: you might be strolling cobblestone streets, climbing a small hill to a chapel, or walking in a forest path.
The physical intensity is generally low to moderate. We won’t be undertaking any very strenuous hikes; the most physically demanding activity might be a walk up to a cave or a tower with stairs, but we take it slow and provide alternatives if needed (for example, if you can’t make a steep climb, we’ll ensure you still have a meaningful experience nearby). If you can comfortably walk for 20-30 minutes at a stretch and handle a few stairs, you should be absolutely fine.
That said, your well-being is our priority. We are very flexible; if anyone needs a break or feels unwell, we adjust plans as necessary. We encourage listening to your body, there’s no push to “keep up.” If you have specific mobility concerns, please reach out so we can discuss options and plan accordingly. We can arrange alternatives such as shorter walks, additional rest time, vehicle access where possible, or a companion staying back with you, so you’re supported every step of the way.
Finally, note that we embrace a bit of digital detox to enhance presence. While you will have access to your phone/internet at our lodgings (and we won’t confiscate anything!), we will invite the group to minimize phone use during group activities and at sacred sites. We’ll set some loving guidelines around this, so that we can really unplug from daily distractions and drop into the here and now. (Emergency contact info will be provided to your loved ones so they can reach our staff if needed. You won’t be cut off, just gently tuning out of the digital noise for a while.)
If any logistical detail is causing you anxiety, big or small, please know you can ask us questions anytime. We are here to help make this journey easeful for you, from the moment you consider joining until you’re safely back home.
Everything about this Remembrance Pilgrimage is designed for you to drop into the wisdom of what is calling to your soul. Reading this now you may feel a sense of intrigue... a slight pull from something deep within, or an energy that's stirring and awakening. Allow us to explore what that is together and see if this is right for you by scheduling a Wayfinding Call through the link below.

Vanessa Tavernetti
MEET VANESSA
Vanessa is the visionary behind Remembrance, which was born of her deep devotion to the sacred feminine and decades of leading women’s circles. For 25 years, she has been helping people illuminate their purpose through connecting them more deeply with the Earth and Source. Vanessa supports women in feeling safe to acknowledge the dreams of their heart, to be able to say things they have never said before, and take bold actions of worth to create beautiful lives of purpose and potentiality.
Through her love and lived commitment to the Earth's regeneration through connection, Vanessa is dedicated to dissolving the illusion of separatism and fear. Vanessa has cultivated a breadth of deep wisdom from immersing herself in Earth-based and intuitive spiritual practices and skills, then has gone on to guide 1000's of others to do the same. This is where her path intersects with Mary Magdalene's.
Vanessa has walked the Magdalene landscape for decades, including extensive study and time in Southern France. Her reverence for land and lineage is contagious. She brings sites alive with story, connecting history and mystery to the truth moving in your own life. She guides participants to tap into and trust their own intuitive sensing to connect more deeply with the sites, the energies of Mary Magdalene and the Black Madonnas, the other-than-human world at each location, and a greater support system of life. This is specifically meant to help women with European ancestry to remember indigenous spiritual connections. She helps you remember that love is infinitely available, that holding hope and possibilities is a birthright, and co-creating through the sacred union of divine feminine and masculine energies is necessary.
As a seasoned spiritual mentor with a trauma-informed background, Vanessa has a gift for making women feel seen, heard, and inspired in a non-judgmental, consent-led space where you unfold at your own pace. Heightened by an NDE in which she died and crossed over into the light, Vanessa has an incredible awareness of Source moving through our lives, the energetic structures underlying physical reality, and the spirits that are working with us. This has made her in high demand for her clairvoyant readings for the past fifteen years and led her to guide hundreds of people to tap into and trust their own intuition through her formal training programs.
She magically weaves her wisdom of ecopsychology, Ayurvedic nutrition and aromatherapy, herbalism, permaculture and ancestral connection (healing ancestral trauma) to help you clear and elevate your life. Being a professional educator and university professor for over twenty-five years adds breadth to her quest for truth. During free afternoons of the retreat, Vanessa offers one-on-one Ritual Baths and Guiding Sessions.
She carries the innocence of the fairies, coupled with a spiritual maturity and fiery fierceness. She walks with the joy of the hummingbird and the depth of the whale, the innocence of the deer, and the transformative and transmutative powers of the butterfly and snake. She knows unicorns and mermaids are real, and has had several encounters with extraterrestrials. She stops and smells the roses, delights in lilacs and gardenias, and keeps nettles and violets close. She pulls her strength from the redwoods and oaks.
Women love her grounded, ancient, informed, customized, Source-guided approach. She will laugh with you over a mug of tea one minute and hold sacred space for your tears, healings, and breakfrees the next. With Vanessa, you can relax into knowing the details are handled and you are genuinely and meticulously cared for. She sprinkles just the perfect amount of positivity and potentiality to bring more vitality to your life.Â

Karen Gruber
MEET KAREN
Karen guides spiritual women to live their devotion in daily life; not just in ritual, but in real choices, real businesses, and real mornings. Her facilitation bridges mystical insight with grounded embodiment. What you receive in France becomes a rhythm you can carry home.
With warmth, clarity, and a consent-led approach, Karen creates space where women feel safe to soften, to be seen, and to speak the truth that’s rising. She listens deeply. She reflects with love. And she brings the sacred down to earth into breath, boundaries, and body.
For most of her adult life, Karen has walked with Mary Magdalene as a spirit guide. That devotion infuses her work with reverence for lineage, the living presence of the Divine Feminine, and the holiness of the ordinary. Through years of study, circle, and sacred listening, Karen carries Magdalene’s teachings in a way that is intimate, embodied, and alive. Sitting with her feels like coming home to something both ancient and newly remembered.
On this pilgrimage, Karen is your translator between sacred encounter and everyday expression. What opens in circle becomes something you can bring into your mornings, your client sessions, your writing, your relationships, and your leadership. Her integration work includes gentle practices, soul-aligned routines, values-led choices, and nervous-system-honoring rhythms. You leave with clarity, sovereignty, and tools to embody
Karen is an international business coach and writing mentor who has guided hundreds of women; coaches, creators, and spiritual entrepreneurs to build their work from the inside out. She understands vision and voice, sacred timing and strategy, burnout and breakthrough. Her gift is knowing when to ask a brave question, when to offer gentle structure, and when to sit with you in stillness.
She teaches what it means to live from the limitlessness of possibility, to lead not by striving, but by aligning with what is most true.
Karen holds a rare blend of sacred feminine wisdom and practical leadership. With her beside you, devotion stops being a concept and becomes a way of moving through the world. You return home leading from center, creating from clarity, and remembering what’s always been yours.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
"For the first time, I felt truly safe and seen. I came home with a sacred rhythm that still guides me each day."
– Anonymous Vanessa Retreat Participant
"Working with Vanessa has been eye opening for me. I have taken things that I have learned from the retreat days and have implemented them in my daily life (and still using them YEARS -later). Each thing brings me closer to nature & closer to my true self. It is truly a magical time."
- Elyssa M. Wright, DC, CACCP, IBCLC
"Vanessa's retreat experiences are a reminder of our greatness personally and also as a community. I have shown up to the gatherings feeling defeated & stressed and every time walk out feeling replenished and inspired. Every part of me (physical, emotional, mental, spiritual) gets a gift from the variety of offerings. From making tea blends and lip balms to learning nourishing meditations and what foods to eat to feel the best in my body. I feel truly held by the sacred feminine, in every stage of life or season I am in. Pure magic. Pure Love."
- Janis Wille MA, LPC, ATR, RYT, Expressive Arts Therapist at Creative Conscious Connections LLC
"I loved Vanessa’s Women’s Program so much that I took it three times! It felt as if it had been created just for me—perfectly aligned with the things I’m most passionate about. I was able to connect deeply with like-minded women, spend a lot of healing time in nature, and learn how to honor the spirits of the land as well as connect with my ancestors for guidance and support. We explored the wisdom of medicinal plants and how to create healing medicine from them, enjoyed nourishing, delicious meals, and most importantly, I gave myself the gift of it all. It was, without a doubt, the most transformative and rewarding program I’ve ever participated in."
- Lisi Kempton, Soul Tree Operations
“Karen’s Soul Writer Retreat was one of the most transformative experiences of my life. She created a space where I felt completely safe to go deep, to tell the truth, and to hear the truth inside myself. The way she guides is both gentle and laser clear. She helped me see the story beneath the story, the part of me that had been waiting for years to be expressed. By the time I left, I not only had more clarity in my writing, I had clarity in my life. Karen gave me practices and a rhythm I still use every morning. I walked away feeling aligned, grounded, and so much more connected to my own voice and calling.”
- A.P. , Soul Writer Retreat Participant
“Working with Karen changed the way I move through the world. She has a gift for taking big spiritual insights and turning them into simple, daily actions that really stick. After spending time with her in retreat and in her programs, I finally understood what it means to live devotion in ordinary moments. Karen saw possibilities in me that I had forgotten, and she reflected them back with such clarity that I started showing up differently in every part of my life. Months later, I am still using the practices she taught me, and I feel calmer, more confident, and more aligned than I have in years.”
- Misty Balkin, Private Client
“Being in Karen’s space feels like exhaling after holding your breath for too long. At her retreats and circles, I always feel deeply welcomed and never judged. She has this rare ability to honor your sovereignty while gently guiding you toward the truth you already carry. Karen’s presence regulates you. Her questions open doors you didn’t know were there. And her wisdom, both spiritual and practical, helps you weave what you experience back into daily life. I left my time with her feeling steadier, more resourced, and more connected to my own feminine genius.”

BONUSES
When you join Remembrance Pilgrimage, you receive a few special bonuses that enrich your experience before and during the retreat:
Monthly Pre-Retreat Circles (Virtual):
Starting in January and leading up to June, we host a monthly online gathering for all confirmed pilgrims. (Think of these as cozy fireside chats via Zoom.) In these one-hour circles, we’ll begin to cultivate our sisterhood and prepare our hearts.
Each call will have a theme relevant to the journey. Every call will allow space for sharing intentions and excitement too!
These preparatory circles help you arrive in France already connected and grounded. By retreat time, you won’t be showing up as strangers; you’ll feel like a circle of sisters who have been journeying inwardly together and becoming familiar with the content of what we will explore.
Attendance is optional but highly encouraged (recordings are provided too). Gathering beforehand helps ease pre-travel jitters and deepen your commitment to yourself, as well as, become familiar with the community of sacred feminine pilgrims.
(Bonus value: consider it several bonus mini-retreats before the big trip!)
RemembrancE Welcome Package:
Who doesn’t love good mail? Upon registering, you will receive a beautiful welcome package delivered to your doorstep. Inside, you’ll find a curated collection of goodies to support and symbolize your journey. We also include practical items like a packing checklist and a booklet about the sacred sites we’ll visit.
This welcome box is our way of saying hello and welcome in a tangible form, and it’s meant to stir your anticipation and begin the ritual of Remembrance from the moment you open it. Your pilgrimage truly begins at home.

Pricing
We offer two retreat package options to suit your preference for accommodation. Transparent pricing – no hidden fees. Here are the options:
Shared Room – $7,995 USD:
Enjoy the full pilgrimage experience in a shared room. You will have your own comfortable bed, and we pair you thoughtfully based on preferences and sleep rhythms. Room configurations vary by property; most are twin shares, and at times a larger room may be shared by a small sister pod in our villa settings. All shared options include everything in “What’s Included” and many women cherish the quiet companionship that unfolds in these rooms.
Semi-Private Room – $9,995 USD:
Here you will have pleasure of the best of both worlds! In the Chateau you have your own private room and at the villa you will have the opportunity to share a room with a fellow sister. This allows for you to seetle into the experience in a more private setting while still having the opportunity of a deeper connection with a roomie too. Only 2 available.Â
Private Room – $11,995 USD:
Treat yourself to a private sanctuary each night. You’ll have your own room with a double/queen bed throughout the retreat. If privacy is a priority, please reserve early. The Private Room package includes all the same meals, activities, and goodies; the higher rate reflects the single occupancy accommodation. Many women choose this option if they know they need alone time to recharge deeply; you’ll group connection and a personal oasis. Only 2 available.
* It is possible if traveling with a bestie, daughter, or sister and would like to share a bed,
the cost is $5,995 USD for the additional person in your private room.

FAQs
HOW DO I GET TO THE RETREAT?
The pilgrimage begins and ends in Marseille, France. We ask you to arrive at Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) on June 1, 2026 by noon local time. We will organize a group pickup at the airport. If you arrive early or are already in France, you can meet us at the airport.
On the final day, June 11, we include a group transfer back to Marseille airport by early afternoon. Some participants may prefer to depart from Toulouse if that suits their travel plans; if so, let us know and we’ll help coordinate logistics (our route back can pass Toulouse).
All ground transfers during the retreat are included; you literally just have to get yourself to Marseille, and we handle it from there! (Feel free to come to France a few days early or stay after; we’re happy to suggest hotels or additional sacred sites to explore on your own.)
WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO PHONE AND INTERNET?
Yes, but with gentle boundaries. All our accommodations have Wi-Fi, and you’ll have cell signal in most areas of the trip. We understand you might need to check in with family or handle an urgent work matter; that’s totally fine during personal downtime.
However, during group activities and site visits, we’ll request that phones be put away or on airplane mode, so that everyone can be fully present. We also may collect phones for certain ceremonies to create a sacred, distraction-free container (we’ll give you notice if we do this).
Think of this as a digital detox lite. You can still take photos (we encourage capturing memories!) we just ask that you then put the device away and not constantly text or scroll while in our sacred space. If you need to be reachable, you can give loved ones our coordinator’s contact info for emergencies.
Generally, past participants found it a relief to unplug a bit. And don’t worry, we’ll make sure you get plenty of group photos and time to snag your own pics at each site, so you won’t miss documenting the journey.
HOW PHYSICALLY DEMANDING IS THIS PILGRIMAGE?
Not very, it’s designed to be accessible to a range of fitness levels, with a focus on gentle movement. We do some walking and light hiking, but nothing extreme. For example, a typical day might involve walking up a gradual hill to a village church or spending an hour on your feet exploring a site.
We take everything at a pilgrim’s pace (slow and mindful). If there is a steeper walk (such as up to a cave), we’ll take it slow, and there’s no shame in pausing or even deciding to skip an activity if you need rest, one of the guides or staff can always stay back with anyone who doesn’t feel up to a trek. We recommend you be capable of walking about 1-2 miles total throughout a day (broken up into smaller chunks) and climbing a few flights of stairs.
If you have knee issues or mobility limitations, let’s discuss; France’s ancient sites sometimes have uneven steps or cobblestones. We can often accommodate with assisting arms or alternate routes.
In short: pace is gentle, and your well-being comes first. This is not a bootcamp or endurance test; it’s a soulful stroll. Just bring comfortable walking shoes, and we’ll literally walk by your side.
WHAT'S THE WEATHER LIKE IN SOUTHERN FRANCE IN JUNE?
In a word: lovely. Early June in Camar and Occitanie offers generally mild to warm weather. You can expect daytime highs in the mid-70s to low-80s °F (24–28°C). Mornings and nights can be cooler, around the mid-50s to 60s °F (12–16°C), especially in the countryside or higher elevations.
It’s usually quite sunny, with long days of light (dusk can linger until 9 or 10 pm). We might see a mix of sun and some cloudy periods; rain isn’t frequent in June but it can happen as brief showers. So, a light rain jacket or travel umbrella is a good idea just in case. Overall, think “spring turning into summer” weather; very pleasant for being outdoors, not usually too hot yet.
By packing layers (we will include a packing list in your welcome package), you’ll be prepared for the temperature shifts. And don’t worry, we’ll keep an eye on the forecast and remind everyone of any specifics as we approach the dates.
If it gets unusually hot or chilly, we adjust plans to keep everyone comfortable (e.g., more shade, more hydration breaks, or cozier indoor activities).
I HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS. WILL THERE BE FOOD I CAN EAT?
Yes. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. Rural Southern France does not always offer the same range of specialty products you might find in the U.S., so we plan menus with care and coordinate with our chefs in advance.
As a whole, our meals lean toward delicious, seasonal, minimally processed dishes that steer away from common aggravators like heavy sauces and excess sugar. Vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, and low-sugar approaches are workable with notice.
If you live with a medical diet or severe allergy, please tell us early so we can discuss specifics. While we cannot guarantee certified allergen-free kitchens at every venue, we label thoughtfully, brief our partners, and can provide a French translation card for your key restrictions.
You are also welcome to bring a few shelf-stable favorites or supplements that make you feel at ease. Our aim is that you feel nourished and included, with practical solutions that keep your body calm and your spirit supported.
Our approach is inclusion: everyone should feel nourished and celebrated with food.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY IF I HAVE TO BACK OUT?
We sincerely hope you’ll be with us, but we understand that life can throw curveballs. In summary, your $1,999 deposit is non-refundable from the moment you pay it (this holds your spot and we immediately allocate resources to your participation). If you need to cancel after that, our policy provides partial refunds on any further payments up to a certain date.
We do allow that if you find someone to fill your spot (or we have a waitlist and can fill it), we will gladly substitute another person and refund what you’ve paid minus the deposit.Â
And of course, if we had to cancel the trip for any reason (e.g., unforeseen world events), you would receive a full refund, or option to roll forward to rescheduled dates. Our aim is to be fair and transparent. If you have concerns, please discuss them with us before booking.
We understand life happens. Your US $1,999 deposit is non-refundable from the moment you place it. Refunds on additional payments follow this schedule based on the date we receive your written cancellation:
- More than 90 days before the retreat: 50% of non-deposit payments refunded
- 60–89 days before: 25% of non-deposit payments refunded
- 30–59 days before: 15% of non-deposit payments refunded
- Less than 30 days before: no refunds or credits
You may transfer your spot to a qualified woman with our approval if you cannot attend. We do not offer credits to future retreats or programs at this time.
Travel insurance is required for all participants. Please purchase a policy that includes trip cancellation and interruption coverage. We strongly suggest considering a “Cancel For Any Reason” rider. You will be asked to provide proof of coverage 30 days before the retreat.
If we must cancel the retreat, you may choose a full refund or a transfer to rescheduled dates.
For full terms, including how to submit a cancellation notice, please see our Refund & Transfer Policy in your registration packet. If you have any questions, send us a note and we will help you navigate the best next step.
CAN I REALLY TALK TO SOMEONE FIRST?
It is required. Every guest begins with a 20-minute Wayfinding Call. This gentle conversation is the first step for all prospective participants. We listen, answer your questions, share key details, and together confirm that the circle, pace, and timing are a true fit.
There is no selling on this call. Your yes is honored, and your no is honored. If it is clear for everyone, we will send your private $1,999 deposit link to secure your spot. You will meet with Karen and/or Vanessa by Zoom or phone, and we are happy to discuss anything from “Is this right for me?”
To schedule, click the booking link and select a time that works.
IS THERE A PAYMENT PLAN?
Yes. We’ve made it simple and manageable.
To reserve your place, a $1,999 non-refundable deposit is required at booking. The remaining balance is divided into five equal monthly payments due on the first of each month, January through May 2026.
Pricing options:
- Shared Room — $7,995 (5 payments of $1,199.20)
- Semi-Private Room — $9,995 (5 payments of $1,599.20)
- Private Room — $11,995 (5 payments of $1,999.20)
If you book in December 2025, you may begin your plan immediately and spread your payments over six months (December–May) for slightly smaller installments.
You’re also welcome to pay in full at registration if you prefer.
All balances must be completed by May 1, 2026.
Payments are automated and processed monthly on the same date you enroll.
Note: Travel insurance is required for all participants, with proof due 30 days before the retreat.

The Invitation!
Dear one, if you’ve read this far, something in your heart is already lighting your Remembrance. This pilgrimage is not a typical getaway; it’s a return to what is real and sacred in you. It’s a chance to step out of the noise and busyness, and step into a living prayer of unlimited possibilities.
To be connected with an ancient lineage of sacred feminine wisdom and live it today. Together we will create a community of presence, where each woman’s divinity is reflected back to her in the eyes of her sisters, the landscape, and the united sacred feminine lineage.
We will laugh, cry, learn, unlearn, and open. We will honor the holy of the Earth, the Goddess, and ourselves. And we will anchor a rhythm of devotion and upliftment that can carry you forward for years to come.
If your soul is saying “yes,”
we warmly invite you to join us.
There are only a handful of spots, intentionally, because intimacy and authenticity are paramount in this work. If you feel that mix of excitement and nerves, that often means you’re on the brink of something truly meaningful. Trust that.
We are here to answer your questions, to hold your hand through any doubts, and to joyfully welcome you if and when the time is right.
